So there I was sitting with Dave Caldwell and others and it just came out. I have not updated the blog for ages and ages...and it works out to be almost 6 months....how time flies when having fun.
It's been busy...and I have not been bothered. Have moved to a new role in work work....and left the methodist church...that is a story I will tell one day but it goes along the lines that it is now old fashoned to believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, or as the hymn puts it "and on that Cross where Jesus died, the wroth of God was satisfied" ah me...am church hunting in my local area for mornings, evenings are fine.
There was once a man who live in a town and the town flooded and the man, prayed to God. "Save me God" he prayed, a few days later a boat came but the man sent it away saying he was waiting for God to save him.
The waters went to the second floor of his home and the man prayed again asking God to save him. A couple of days later the same boat came back, but he sent it away saying God will save it away
At last the waters came to the top of the house and the man prayed to God to save him...and the boat came but he sent it away saying God will save me.
The man drowned.....on meeting God he asked "why did you not save me" and God replied "I tried three times but you kept sending me away!"
When you pray are you open for God to respond in the way he sees as best and not the way you expect.
